Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, originally released for the PlayStation 5 in October 2023, is set to swing onto PC platforms via Steam and Epic Games Store on January 30, 2025. This highly anticipated release is being brought to PC by Sony Interactive Entertainment, in collaboration with Insomniac Games and Nixxes Software.

Nixxes Software, who previously worked on the PC versions of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, is continuing their collaboration with Insomniac Games and Marvel Games to bring Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to a new audience. Julian Huijbregts, Nixxes Community Manager, expressed excitement about bringing the title to PC players, promising enhanced ray-tracing options that will take full advantage of different hardware configurations. Marvel Games Executive Producer Eric Monacelli highlighted that the decision to bring Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to PC was driven by a desire to introduce Spider-Man’s iconic characters and thrilling storylines to a wider audience. The PC version will feature enhancements that will allow players to experience the full intensity of the game’s web-slinging action.

Insomniac’s Core Technology Director Mike Fitzgerald echoed this sentiment, praising Nixxes’ efforts in optimizing the game for PC. With the addition of keyboard and mouse controls, ultra-widescreen support, and a variety of graphical settings, the game is tailored to PC players while maintaining the high-quality gameplay that made it a hit on the PS5.

  • Arachknight Suit (Peter Parker) with three color variants
  • Shadow-Spider Suit (Miles Morales) with three color variants
  • Early unlock of the Web Grabber gadget
  • +3 Skill Points

There are two available editions

  • Standard Edition: Includes the full game and all updates since its original PS5 release, such as 14 new suits, New Game+ mode, Ultimate Levels, Time of Day options, Post-Game Achievements, and additional features in Photo Mode, including the fun Action Figure Mode.
  • Digital Deluxe Edition: Offers everything in the Standard Edition, plus five exclusive suits for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, along with extra Photo Mode items and early unlocks for the Arachknight Suit, Shadow-Spider Suit, Web Grabber gadget, and +5 skill points.

Expanding the World of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

The game’s story revolves around Peter and Miles facing off against Venom and a new symbiote threat, while battling iconic villains like Kraven the Hunter and the Lizard. Players will experience dynamic combat through Peter’s new symbiote abilities and Miles’ bio-electric venom powers, along with high-tech gadgets that provide extensive customization and gameplay depth.
