Helldivers 2: Super Earth's New Terminid Park Channels Jurassic Park After Major Order Win

Helldivers 2, set over a hundred years in the future, has thrust players into a universe where Super Earth seems to have either forgotten the cautionary tales of Steven Spielberg or his movies have become lost relics of the past. After a triumphant victory in their latest Major Order, Super Earth has greenlit the development of a Jurassic Park-style attraction featuring some not-so-friendly alien bugs. This new venture, dubbed “Tyranny Park,” will be open to thrill-seeking tourists willing to pay a hefty price to see alien life up close—a plan that almost certainly screams impending disaster.

The Major Order Victory: Securing Acamar IV

This week’s Major Order saw the Helldivers successfully establish a protective border around Acamar IV, a key strategic planet. In-game transmissions from Super Earth’s High Command revealed that this victory wasn’t just about planetary security but also served as the first step in establishing the Terminid Research Preserve. The preserve is set to house numerous alien species, specifically the Terminids, and will be critical to future research initiatives.

According to High Command, “our intrepid Xenoentomologists have conducted the first of many specimen collections, and are already reporting great strides towards our understanding of E-710 extraction and exploitation.” It seems Super Earth is not only securing territory but is also expanding its scientific horizons, albeit with risky undertones.

The Terminid Research Preserve: A Recipe for Trouble?

The new Terminid Research Preserve isn’t just a harmless nature reserve. It’s a high-security facility where alien specimens will be studied, all while extracting valuable E-710 resources. High Command promises that this preserve will be safe, citing past failures from Terminid Farms as lessons learned. Their statement emphasizes tight security, from SEAF Wardens to extensive electrical fencing that encircles the preserve both above and underground.

However, in an ominous twist, it was also disclosed that should a containment breach occur, nuclear bombardments would be automatically triggered. Given the potentially catastrophic nature of such a response, it’s hard to ignore the contradiction in calling it a “research preserve” when the fail-safe plan is total annihilation of the species.

Tyranny Park: For the Adventurous Tourist

Despite the obvious risks involved, Super Earth has ambitious plans for this preserve. The next phase in the project is “Tyranny Park,” a commercial venture designed to lure in wealthy tourists looking for an adrenaline-pumping, up-close encounter with the Terminids. High Command envisions this park not only as a means of deepening citizens’ understanding of “the horrors of Tyranny” but also as a major funding source for future research and expansions.

It’s hard not to draw comparisons between Tyranny Park and the famous dinosaur theme park from Jurassic Park. Just like its cinematic predecessor, Tyranny Park seems to be one containment breach away from disaster. After all, placing paying civilians in the middle of a park filled with aggressive alien life forms doesn’t exactly scream ‘safe family fun.’

Jurassic Park Meets Helldivers 2

The parallels to Jurassic Park are impossible to ignore, with the potential for things to go catastrophically wrong looming large over Super Earth’s latest venture. While High Command is confident in its security measures, the possibility of disaster is part of the appeal for the game’s narrative and perhaps future Major Orders. The mixture of excitement, danger, and satire is poised to make this a key plot point in Helldivers 2, offering both spoofs and spooks in equal measure.

It’s unclear whether Tyranny Park will be a disaster waiting to happen, but the idea of civilians touring a park filled with lethal aliens is a recipe for chaos. And considering the park’s name, perhaps this chaos is exactly what High Command has in mind.

Super Earth’s Ambitions Grow Riskier

With Tyranny Park in development and the Terminid Research Preserve already established, Super Earth is entering uncharted—and highly dangerous—territory. The future of these new ventures remains uncertain, but they certainly seem to promise an exciting (and potentially deadly) expansion of the Helldivers 2 universe.

For players, this means more than just new gameplay challenges. These developments may hint at a future Major Order where Helldivers must clean up the inevitable mess caused by Super Earth’s reckless ambitions. Until then, the countdown to Tyranny Park’s grand opening continues. Whether it’s a thrilling success or a disastrous failure, players are in for one wild ride.
